The 4th Annual San Gabriel Valley Literary Festival will take place on Saturday, February 20th and Sunday, February 21st. Each day of the festival is packed with authors of poetry and prose from noon to nine. Sadie Girl Press has been given a full slot to showcase some of our talented poets, Terry Ann Wright, Raquel Reyes-Lopez, Larry Duncan, and myself, Sarah Thursday. What’s even more exciting is that we’ll be joined by special guests, BobKat, who’ll be backing our readings with acoustic music. Join us on Saturday, February 20th, from 4 to 5:15 pm at the dA Center for the Arts in Pomona. Better yet, stay all day to hear non-stop literary goodness! RSVP on Facebook

I’m thrilled to be a part of the annual San Gabriel Valley Literary Festival! Last year, I attended this festival and not only discovered many new poets, but made many new friends. My dear poetry mother, Ricki Mandeville, made a prediction that I would be featuring in the next year. This year, I am honored to be reading among many poets and authors I admire and respect. The two day festival, February 21-22, features writers from all over Southern California and beyond, held at the dA Center for the Arts in Pomona. I’ll be reading on Sunday February 22nd, at 4:30 pm. There will also be open reading time slots, so bring some of your own words to share. Check out the SGVLF Facebook page for more details, a full schedule, and updates. You can also RSVP on the Facebook event page. They could also use your donations to help cover the costs of this amazing free event. Go to their website SGVLitFest.com for more information.
Come to The dA Center for the Arts for The San Gabriel Valley Literary Festival‘s monthly reading and open mic. I am featuring with Alexis Fancher, the author of How I Lost My Virginity To Michael Cohen and Other Heart Stab Poems.
The dA Center is a beautiful art gallery/creative center. If you live in the area, they have tons of wonderful events, like “Shut Up and Write” hosted by really cool people, like John Brantingham. The reading starts at 7 pm at 252-D South Main St, Pomona, California 91766
