Long Beach Underground Video
Here I am reading a few poems for the event I did a couple months back, Long Beach Underground. It’s less than ten minutes to play. Really, you can listen without watching too. Thanks to Sanjin Obi Malesevic for putting it together!

I’m thrilled to be included in the lineup of performers for the first ever Long Beach Underground “Best of Open Mic”. Peter Basson and friends are launching a website and event series to showcase a variety of local talent associated with our fair city. Join us on Saturday, October 1st, at 7 pm at The Mirage Cafe at 539 East Bixby Road, Long Beach. I go on second, so get there early!

I get to share a stage with these talented people I also get to call friends. It’s an outdoor family-friendly event that begins at 12:30 and continues to 6:30, located at the Bandshell in Recreation Park off 7th and Park Ave. Check out the Facebook event page for event more details.

Uptown Word Reading & Arts Series
On Sunday, February 14th, I will be living a dream. What a better way to start off a romantic Valentine’s Day than with poetry and art? Not only will I be co-featuring with two of the most love filled poets I know, Boris Ingles and Karineh Mahdessian, but it will take place in the brand new North Long Beach Public Library in the neighborhood where I spent all my teen years and first began my journey as a poet. Hosted by the lovely liz gonzález, the Uptown Word Reading & Arts Series brings authors and artists to Northtown. The reading starts at 1 pm and includes an open mic. There are also rumors of chocolate cupcakes! RSVP on Facebook
