Angel City Review Issue 3
Angel City Review just released their 3rd issue! Two of my poems, “Keansburg Park, 2012” and “Boy, Emaciating Slow”, were chosen. This lovely journal focuses on authors in the Los Angles area, including a few friends, Mike Sonksen, Marcus Clayton, and AJ Urquidi. It’s a completely free download featuring the photography of Benjamin Harmon.

Storm Cycle 2015
I have the deepest honor to be selected for the 3rd year in a row in Kind of a Hurricane Press’s Best of Anthology, Storm Cycle 2015. The collection draws from their many print anthologies and from their online journals. I am honored once again to be selected by the editor of the Spectrum series, Don Kingfisher Campbell, for Spectrum 3: LoveLoveLove, an anthology about love poems. Ugly Mug Reading on March 23rd
Two Idiots Peddling Poetry, hosted by Ben Trigg and Steve Ramirez, will be featuring me and Larry Duncan on Wednesday, March 23rd at the Ugly Mug in Orange. There is an open list with readings starting at 8 pm. We’re still celebrating our new releases, Larry’s Drunk on Ophelia chapbook, and my How to Unexist poetry CD. The Ugly Mug takes a $3 entry and serves coffeehouse drink and other goodies.

Uptown Word Reading & Arts Series
On Sunday, February 14th, I will be living a dream. What a better way to start off a romantic Valentine’s Day than with poetry and art? Not only will I be co-featuring with two of the most love filled poets I know, Boris Ingles and Karineh Mahdessian, but it will take place in the brand new North Long Beach Public Library in the neighborhood where I spent all my teen years and first began my journey as a poet. Hosted by the lovely liz gonzález, the Uptown Word Reading & Arts Series brings authors and artists to Northtown. The reading starts at 1 pm and includes an open mic. Ekphrastic California January Series!
The kind editor of Ekphrastic California, John Brantingham, selected four more of my art inspired poems to be featured in a four day January run! Each of these poems has a link to a local artist who I admire; “When I’ve said all the words I can say” (Michele Vavonese), “Colors for Bruising” (Lynn Azali), “Unnamed Color” (Melinda Hagman), and “Dead Song” (Alex Diffin). All of these female artists create strong, emotional work that connects with my own. Head on over to Ekphrastic California and have a little art with your poetry!
Cultural Weekly
Three of my most gut-wrenching poems are up on Cultural Weekly, “How to Unexist”, “How to Go Backwards”, and “If you ask me what I want”. The first poems is also the title track from my new CD/Chapbook! I am honored to be included with a long list of excellent poets on the Poetry Spotlight edited by Alexis Rhone Fancher. I was asked to submit poems last summer, which Alexis kindly accepted, but she also asked if she could take some photos of me.You can check out some of the photos on Facebook. She is documenting poets all around the Los Angeles area and being included in her series is beyond humbling.
